Pirate Christian Radio — The unusual name is based on the slang phrase for an underground or “pirate” radio station.  An LCMS service featuring dozens of different weekly shows by LCMS and other conservative pastors, with an emphasis on Bible study and contemporary issues.  Presenting a Biblical viewpoint that is “underground” or “pirate” from the perspective of the world.  Very lively and engaging!

Choral Evensong — Listen on demand to the British Broadcasting Company’s Choral Evensong, recorded in churches around Britain; five most recent episodes available on demand.  Superb choirs and other music.  The order of service is nearly identical to Vespers from The Lutheran Hymnal of 1941;  however, some doctrinal content may not reflect the teachings of the LCMS.

Lutheran Service Book — An online version of Lutheran Service Book from Hymnary.org with information about hymns and lyrics for those not under copyright.

The Lutheran Hymnal An online version of The Lutheran Hymnal of 1941 from Hymnary.org with full page scans of words and music for nearly all hymns, except a handful that are still under copyright.  Full page scans of the orders of service and entire liturgical section are also provided.

Database of Lutheran Hymns — A comprehensive, cross-linked online database of all the hymns from The Lutheran Hymnal (1941), Lutheran Worship (1982), Hymnal Supplement ’98 (1998), and Lutheran Service Book (2007). You can see where a specific hymn occurs in each hymnal and which tune is used, which Scripture verses relate to a hymn, and search by Scripture reference, tune or title keyword for related hymns.

20,000 Hymns, Gospel Songs & Spirituals — A fantastic collection of high-quality MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) files for thousands of hymns.

Small Church Music — An astounding resource with lyrics and high-quality MP3 organ recordings of nearly every hymn imaginable!  Because this is a cross-denominational resource—compiled by a retired Baptist pastor in the Australian outback—some tunes and lyrics may vary from our hymnals, but a large number of hymns are taken directly from The Lutheran Hymnal and Lutheran Service Book.  Includes lyrics if they are not copyrighted. Excellent MP3 organ recordings of tunes which are not copyrighted may be played and downloaded for free, and recordings of many copyrighted tunes are available for a small fee.

Church Year Calendar — An interactive calendar giving the appointed Scripture readings from the Three-Year Lectionary in Lutheran Service Book.  From Pericope.org, a site run by Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod pastors which has other helpful resources related to the appointed Scripture readings of the Church Year.

Lutheran Lectionary Project — Giving the Collect and other Propers such as the Introit, etc. for each Sunday and weekday, according to the One-Year Series Lectionary in Lutheran Service Book.  Propers are from the New King James Version; readings available from a variety of translations.
